It’s hard to tell if social media internships are as common as they used to be because they are getting more and more popular. They are still a bit hard to find and a lot of information is hard to come by. I am here to share how I got my internship.
As a college student, all of my friends were graduating this year (and most of my classes were also ending), so this is the perfect opportunity to work with other students. It’s also good for me to have a job to pay off my rent, and since that internship is supposed to start the first week of August I thought it would be a perfect time to hit the ground running.
As a college student, I wanted an internship because I wanted to have a job. I was actually considering dropping out of college and getting a job myself because I wanted a job that paid the bills and would allow me to save a little bit of money. Unfortunately my mom wasn’t thrilled about this thought, and she had a major heart attack the night that I was going to apply.
Because I wanted to work for a company I felt like I had to take the internship to impress everyone at school. I also felt like I should be working at a place I liked, so I thought it would be in a nice city and I’d be learning something while I was there. I wasnt really interested in social media internships, but I was open to any company that thought it was a good opportunity.
People who have interned at companies like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Zynga, Google, and Amazon seem to be doing just fine. Some companies, like Microsoft, have made it clear that they don’t want you to do internships because they see it as a career risk. You want to go to a place that you’re reasonably sure you’ll like, but it’s not necessary to commit to a full-time job.
The point of internships is to find a company where you can learn on the job, not to find a job to do. And while I think it’s great for companies to help you find a job, it’s not necessarily a good idea to intern in a company that has not even offered you a position yet you want to pursue.
Yes, interns are a great way to learn, but companies do not want you to intern because they don’t want you to intern because they want you to intern and not intern because their job requires it. If you intern in a company that does not hire interns, then that’s one of two things: Either the company is not hiring and that’s a red flag, or they’re hiring interns, but not because they want you to intern. You need to decide which is more likely.
If you want a great internship in a great company, the best internship you can do is to work for a company that hires interns. Companies that do not hire interns will likely not hire you at all.
I had my own internship which I loved. But after two weeks I was hired by a company that did not hire interns, and so I now live in a place where they don’t hire interns either. Now I live in a place where I have no idea what I’m doing and don’t know where I am, and now my friends have moved away, and I have no money.
I think most of us can relate to this one. It’s easy for us to get so wrapped up in our own lives that we forget to take any of these things into consideration. When we try to do the simplest things in life like buying a coffee, we tend to forget that we are also dealing with the things that make the coffee taste good.
