I use the word “self-aware” a lot. Self-aware is the process of creating a sense of self, and it works for us because we are aware that it is not always easy or impossible to change or change our self. For example, if I paint my home, it’s easy to see why I would want to change my mind, but if I paint my kitchen and bathroom, I do want to change my mind.
If you’re self-aware, that means you’re aware of yourself. That’s why it’s so important to be aware of things we do. Self-awareness isn’t about being self-critical, it’s about being aware. We can’t change our self because we’re self-aware, but we can change the way we think about ourselves.
Self-awareness is about changing how we think about ourselves, and that makes a lot more sense than changing our actual self. If I paint my home, it makes a lot more sense that I’d want to change my home than that I want to paint my kitchen and bathroom.
Self-awareness can be defined as a state of being where we are aware of ourselves (the self) to the point where it feels like we are. For example, if I’m aware of myself, I’m aware of the things I do, and I’m aware of the choices I make, I’m not self-critical. If I’m aware of myself, I’m aware of my thoughts, feelings, and how I feel.
Self-awareness is a lot harder to define than it seems. There are multiple ways of speaking about the concept. But we can do some basic mental gymnastics to come to a conclusion. For example, if we are aware of who we are, and the way we feel about ourselves, it can be said that we are in a state of self-awareness. We may have some thoughts and feelings, but the state of self-awareness includes a greater sense of self.
Self-awareness is a lot like a movie, where we can see the entire movie at once, but it’s impossible to know what’s going to happen in the next six minutes. The best we can do is try to look at the movie and see what we think is going on. Our eyes can only do so much. If we want to be more aware of ourselves, we get more specific.
So what do we do? We look at how we feel, and we use our eyes. We can do this in a lot of different ways, but one of our favorites is to use our mind. We can visualize a scene, and by using our mind, we can feel what it is like to be there. If you really want a good mental workout, try doing this: Imagine you are a passenger aboard an airplane, and imagine you are on the aisle.
This is a great exercise, especially if you’re a passenger who finds yourself on the aisle, wondering what’s going on. Picture yourself on the aisle as you read an article, or as you listen to a song.
The exercise is best done while you are sitting upright, which is very cool, but also very uncomfortable. You can try it while standing up, and it will feel completely unnatural. Try to imagine a scene in which you are comfortable. You can also do this while lying down, on your stomach, or on your back.
