The first step to mob spawn on slabs is to create a slab. The second step is to place some blocks around it and then place the slab in the center of them. The third step is for you to get the mobs that you want spawning on this slab, typically zombies or skeletons. Then go into your game mode settings and make sure “allow-flying” has been enabled if these are flying mobs, such as bats or witches. The last step is to go into the game and place a bed or torch in any given corner.
You can also use redstone dust, but this may not always work as mobs cannot spawn on slabs that have “solid” blocks above them (blocks without air). The body of the mob will change when it spawns on the slab. You can do many things with these slabs such as creating traps for players and other mobs alike!
*You May Need Additional Blocks To Create Designs That Have Beds/Torches Placed On The Top Of Them.*
Spawning Mobs is a common occurrence in the game. It means that there are too many of them and they need more room to live. In order for this to happen, you must have air blocks above the slab where these monsters will spawn from (not just any old block). You can do this by placing torches or beds on top of certain slabs. If these are flying mobs such as bees, they can spawn on the slab as well.
