TikTok is one of the most popular social media apps in the world, and it’s not hard to see why. The app, which was created by Chinese company ByteDance, has more than 100 million daily active users who post 15 minutes worth of content every day. It also offers a lot of features that make it appealing to young people – like short videos that can be edited with filters and special effects. With all these benefits, how do you get on TikTok?
In this blog post we will discuss how to change your age on TikTok so you can start posting right away!
Download TikTok from the app store on your device.
After opening, click “sign up.” You will be prompted to enter in a username and password for yourself. Make sure you select the option that says 18+. If you want to change your birth year, now is the time! Tap on it until it changes to what you would like it to say and then tap “next”.
-Fill out all of your required information such as first name, last name, email address and birthday. It’s important not misspell anything here or else you won’t be able to access TikTok again! Next there are some optional questions about how often people use their phone (daily), which social media platform they have used to find TikTok (Instagram) and how they found out about it.
Finally, tap “done” at the bottom of your screen to continue on with creating a profile!
Now that you have successfully created an account for yourself, you’re ready to start posting! Click on the “tasks” icon in the upper left corner of the app and then click “create post”. Next, choose what kind of story this will be – whether it’s short or long form content. Keep in mind that video length is limited but there are no restrictions when it comes to writing up text posts. If you want people to watch your videos as well as read your blog posts too it is best practice not use all one type exclusively.
Choose “Short Form” if you want to post a quick video or text.
Click “Long Form” if you’d like to make a more detailed blog post with accompanying pictures, videos, and music.
Then click on the type of content that fits your needs! If it’s a photo/video – only use one picture per story (but don’t forget about TikTok’s built in editing tools!). For text posts – this is where creativity comes into play and there are no restrictions when typing up these stories so be as creative as possible within the character limit. Once finished previewing how everything will look tap on “done”. You’ll then see an option for allocating followers from various groups: friends, followers, plus followers, or nofollows.
Important: if you’re a TikTok influencer on the app and want to monetize your content with sponsored posts – this is how! You’ll need a business account in order for these options to be available.
