One of the big things that has me most frustrated is when people seem to believe that social media is real life. I am sure that some of this stems from the fact that I have grown up with a large community of my own. I have been on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for most of my life. My social media history is so extensive that it is impossible to completely comprehend it.

I believe that social media is real life. I believe that when you see a picture of your friend’s dog and think it looks just like one of your own dogs, it’s all a matter of how you interpreted the picture. Social media is just as real as the physical world, and it’s no different than the physical world.

Social media is real life in a way that physical media isn’t. The fact that you can have a conversation about your dog’s nose or about your dog’s new play-set or its cute new ear-buds is not the same as seeing your dog’s picture on Facebook or Twitter.

Like physical media, social media is also a matter of real life in a way that physical media isnt. Its not like if you were to put your phone on a plane and it goes into a coma that you could no longer communicate with your dog or anything else. The fact that you can have a conversation about your dogs nose or about your dogs new play-set or its cute new ear-buds is not the same as seeing your dogs picture on Facebook or Twitter.

In Calgary, social media is a way of life. A lot of people here in Calgary keep their social media accounts up to date with friends and family. It gives them an excuse to keep in touch with everyone. If you’re in Calgary you can easily spend hours on facebook, Twitter, etc. without having to think about what it means to be a Calgary guy.

With social media comes the freedom to spread your own personal views. A lot of us have been vocal in the past about our love for Calgary, but what people don’t realize is that when you go online you can also be seen as a complete asshole. And it’s not like that’s a new thing either. Remember that time when someone was so upset about a particular Calgary restaurant they were all over the web? It was all over the web.

Yes, that was the case back in the day when it was all over the web. The irony of it all is that I was once just like them, but now I am a total asshole. I have many of the same values as they do, and you can’t really tell the difference. I don’t think it really matters anyway because I’m not in the public eye anymore.

I think it was a few months ago when I was upset to learn I missed the last train of my life. That was a bad day. The people who were with me on the train were all pretty happy, but I wanted to be the one to actually miss it. So I went to my computer and started typing my life story. I am not sure what I did to piss them off, but I got really upset and started writing about how I wished I was dead.

You could argue that you had plenty of time to write your story, but that’s not really the point. The point is that you were not in a public space and you were not in the public eye. You are not the center of your own story. If you want to talk about how you don’t look like the poster child of life in 2015, you are going to have to do that in private.
